Why making that first visual impression is so important for your charity and businesses

Visual storytelling is one of the most potent ways to convey an organisation's message. Just a single image can help quickly communicate your charity's message to its audience.

Photography can complement written content within your marketing campaigns – words and pictures working harmoniously to create a lasting impact when used together. Charities can quickly use imagery to inform and educate people about their work without mountains of text. Images can also provide more context to the audience, helping them better understand a charity's mission.

We know that making a good first impression is essential, especially for those in the 3rd sector. Your audience will create an imprint of your organisation and charity's brand based on various factors. Such as how your website looks and functions, do your staff members seem approachable?

Do your events look properly organised, even how your employees or Trustees might look and dress, and more. Call it superficial, but these small details are points of contact you have with potential customers and funders. In this case, presentation is everything.

Your creative people/ team know that a state-of-the-art website is essential; giving an overall professional image and feel goes a long way in providing credibility, whatever sector your charity is involved in.

I have much experience in this field, having been commissioned to work with various charities and NGOs, providing the imagery that gives them something extra to their overall presence and visual storytelling messages.

Strong, eye-catching and sometimes powerful imagery that stops the viewer from scrolling past. Striking photography that wants you to ask questions, engage, and maybe interact with your website.

The charity sector like many is a crowded one; that's why it's so important to design your brand image to convey precisely what you want it to say.

I recommend thinking about your brand image as a whole. Be intentional about your overall brand image and build it from there.

Let me know how I can help; I'd be happy to speak with you and discuss how I can help with your visual storytelling.
